ABOUT FORBES & Co. SIGNMAKERS

The company was established in 1996 with the partners bringing over 90 years experience to the new venture.

Since then we has never stood still, always looking to the future in terms of not only the latest equipment but also a very important factor: personnel. The vast majority of our staff have over 10 years service with us and is a record we are very proud of. We have also just installed the worlds largest full colour thermal digital printing system to keep us a step ahead of our competitors. Currently we are seeking to purchase new premises to house our expanding operation but continue to operate from 2 workshop facilities in Dundee.

Our sales continue to grow, year on year, through servicing our established customer base and also new business. Our clients are from a variety of sectors and include one of the U.K's largest cash and carry groups, health boards and universities. Many council authorities and individual private companies from all over the U.K. Our expertise takes us far and wide and our signs can be seen on your local high street or as far away as the Falkland Islands.

We are firm believers in keeping production in-house if possible. We have 3 dedicated vinyl cutting systems to deal with the large volume of vinyl work we undertake. We supply and fit vehicle livery from one single company van to a fleet of transporters. We also work in conjunction with one of the North Easts largest coachbuilders and service clients from Orkney to Norfolk. The introduction of the digital printer now enables us to produce large format full colour prints direct to vinyl in response to the increasing demand for this aspect of signage. We fabricate in a wide range of media like Perspex, Stainless Steel, Foamex, Glass and Dibond.

We also undertake neon work and are now established as Tayside's number one in this field. In 2004 we installed a computer-controlled routing system to speed up production of our letter production into a new workshop facility located just 5 minutes from our base.
